Proposed Tax Increase on November Ballot

The Mayor and the Steering Committee (three council members appointed by the Mayor) will present their proposal for a citywide tax increase at the Special Committee of the Whole Meeting on Tuesday, July 19^th at 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm.

The meeting is open to the public.

The proposed tax increase could be a property tax or income tax.  Voters will have the opportunity to say “yes” or “no” to the tax increase during the November 8, 2011 general election.
